The Academy for Leaders is a cutting-edge four-day intensive course designed specifically for law firm leaders by law firm leaders. The 2025 cohort is now open for applications, with limited places available. The course will take place from 22-25 July 2025 at King’s College London, England.
In today’s challenging world, law firms are focusing on what comes next and ‘margin squeeze’ is top of mind for all firms. But what does the future and the ‘next normal’ look like?
The pandemic has likely changed some aspects of legal practice permanently, prompting lawyers and clients to seek more human, open, and purposeful relationships. Many management challenges remain, but those who embrace change and seize new opportunities will emerge stronger.
The IBA’s Academy for Leaders examines legal services and explains what is changing, the aspects that will stay the same and the key success factors for ensuring continued growth and success in the years ahead. Critically, it will look at this both entirely practically – what should law firms do – and from a truly global perspective.

Who should attend?
The Academy will assist all leaders in a very practical way. Delegates will typically be:
- Current or future law firm leaders
- Central management and/or office, practice and/or sector leaders
- Senior business professionals within law firms (CEO / COO level)
To apply, participants need to complete the application form and email it to conferences@int-bar.org. The course fee is £6,000 + VAT for IBA members and £6,700 + VAT for non-members, which includes all course materials. The submission deadline is Friday, 30 May 2025.
